Job Duties

  1. Conduct researches to find new suppliers with reference to predefined criteria, study their profiles and propose adding them to the list of suppliers.
  2. Conduct market price benchmark by regular market visits and prepare the needed reports accordingly.
  3. Prepare target price and related historical log for requested materials/services when needed and ensure getting the best deal.
  4. Communicate with the requesting department/unit to define the accurate relevant technical specifications and acquire business need justifications when required.
  5. Handle department’s purchasing requests, for direct purchasing according to preset criteria.
  6. Prepare and send RFQ (Request for Quotation) & & RFP (Request for Proposal) to the approved selected suppliers according to the request.
  7. Negotiate and evaluate received offers commercially, get requesters' technical feedback when needed and send the results to Head of Section for review.
  8. Check quality and price for the received samples and data sheets from suppliers, and get requesters feedback.
  9. Prepare and issue Procurement Documents Initial Purchase Letter Form, LPO (Letter of Purchase Order), and expense report with reference to WAFA processes, policies and procedures and follow up purchasing cycle.
  10. Follow up the submitted purchase requests and ensure obtaining all the required approvals and escalate the delayed cases.
  11. Check the non-conforming cases, contact the supplier to discuss and propose solution to be discussed with Procurement HOS & HOU and the specialized entity for technical evaluation to reach the final decision.
  12. Keep all records and reports archived & updated within PO.
  13. Keep requesters up-to-date regarding the status of their requested materials/services.
  14. Submit PO, and Frame Agreement on Procurement System and other related databases and ensure accuracy of entered data.
  15. Handle complaints related to purchasing activities and escalate them to HOS when needed.

Education

Bachelor’s degree is required, Telecom/IT Engineering major is preferrable.

Experience

At least 1-year relevant experience is required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Good level in English and Microsoft Office is required.
